The entire FIFA 23 World Cup mode has been accidentally released in-game, allowing fans to see what EA has planned for Qatar 2022 weeks before it was due to arrive.

FIFA 23 has been treating players to plenty of promos and special cards since its launch at the end of September. But with Qatar 2022 due to kick off in November, many fans have been wondering what EA has in store for FIFA 23 World Cup mode.

World Cup content has always been popular among the FIFA community, and fans have been desperate to see the World Cup Ultimate Team mode return in FIFA 23.

Now, weeks away from the tournament getting underway, EA have accidentally leaked their own FIFA 23 World Cup mode, allowing fans to access it early.

FIFA YouTuber FUT Mentor posted a video showing that PS5 players could load into the FIFA 23 World Cup menus early by using the console’s ‘Start Activity’ feature from the home screen.

They loaded into the DLC and could begin poking around to see exactly what players can look forward to in FIFA 23 World Cup mode.

There were options for:

  • FIFA World Cup Live
  • FIFA World Cup Kick Off
  • Online Tournament
  • FIFA World Cup 2022

World Cup Live appears to be a mode that updates as the real-world tournament progresses, letting players hop into the latest fixtures. While Kick-Off will presumably be one-off matches featuring the teams, stadiums, and theme of Qatar 2022.

Then FIFA World Cup 2022 will allow fans to play through the entire competition as the nation of their choice. Online Tournament will also catch players’ eye, as this could hint that friends can create their own World Cup.

Unfortunately, none of these menu options could be fully explored and it wasn’t possible to go into a full match.

There was also no sight of a FIFA 23 World Cup Ultimate Team mode, but that’s not to say it won’t come when the DLC is finally released. EA have already confirmed that the regular Ultimate Team will receive World Cup content in the form of special FUT Heroes.

The 2022 World Cup in Qatar gets underway on November 20, so an official announcement on FIFA 23 World Cup shouldn’t be too far away.
