The Final Shape introduced new Exotic gear for each class in Destiny 2, and how to get Hazardous Propulsion is on the mind of every Titan player. So, here is how you can get the new Exotic chest armor.

Buildcrafting got a serious boost in The Final Shape, and Destiny 2 players have a lot of freedom when it comes to building their character. Hazardous Propulsion is not unlocked through standard means, so it could be a bit confusing to figure out how to get it.

Here is how you can get Hazardous Propulsion, everything you need to know about its perk, and the best build to use with it in Destiny 2.

Destiny 2: How to unlock Hazardous Propulsion in The Final Shape

You can unlock Hazardous Propulsion in Destiny 2 via decryption with Master Rahool.

Rahool is now also a reputation vendor in The Final Shape where you can get most of the new class-specific armor items. You can build up your reputation with him by decoding Prime Engrams and Exotic Engrams.

To unlock Hazardous Propulsion, you’ll need to Prestige Rahool’s vendor rank. This is done by gaining a total of 6000 XP through decoding Engrams.

Once you have reached Prestige rank, you’ll unlock Tier 3 Focusing, which is what gives you the ability to get a specific piece of Exotic armor that you want. You’ll need an Exotic Cipher and 10,000 Glimmer to do so.

Hazardous Propulsion Exotic perk in Destiny 2 The Final Shape

Hazardous Propulsion comes with the Danger Close perk in Destiny 2, which is the main reason players would want to get it.

With Danger Close, precision hits or final blows with weapons have a chance to load a Kinetic Exodus rocket. Activating your class ability fires loaded Exodus rockets, and damaging targets with Exodus rockets temporarily increases the damage you deal with all other rockets.

Essentially, this perk gives around a 30% boost to rocket damage, and you’ll get the ability to fire an additional tracking volley onto enemies when you use Barricade.

Best Hazardous Propulsion build in Destiny 2 The Final Shape

You’ll want to use the Strand subclass with Hazardous Propulsion in Destiny 2, and here are some ideas for the best Aspects and Fragments to use:

Aspects

  • Banner of War: Defeat an enemy with a melee attack, finisher, or sword to raise a Banner of War that pulses with healing energy.
  • Into the Fray: Destroying a Tangle or Casting your Super grants Woven Mail to nearby allies.

Banner of War and Into the Fray together are a great combination to make sure that you and your team stay alive for longer. Since Hazardous Propulsion is a better Exotic for PvE activities, you’ll want to make sure you have these equipped.

Fragments

  • Thread of Warding: Orbs of Power grant Woven Mail.
  • Thread of Mind: Defeating Suspended targets grants Class ability energy.
  • Thread of Transmutation: Weapon final blows create a Tangle while you have Woven Mail.
  • Thread of Continuity: Increases the effects of your Sever, Unravel, and Suspend.
  • Thread of Generation: Increases your grenade energy when doing any damage.

Thread of Warding, Mind, and Transmutation are there to make sure that you can get your class ability up as quickly as possible while also ensuring Woven Mail is sustained for longer periods of time.

First Generation may seem out of place at first, but used in tandem with Grapple Grenade, it just means you will be able to move around a lot easier, making it a great choice to increase mobility and effect to get Woven Mail and eventually proc your Exodus Rockets.
