Call of Duty stars Aydan ‘Aydan’ Conrad and Zack ‘ZLaner’ Lane encountered dev errors that cost them their games during the World Series of Warzone finals.

The World Series of Warzone tournament pitted professional Warzone players against each other as they battled on Caldera for the chance to win an impressive crash prize of $300,000.

The tournament finals provided exciting competitive Warzone action, but the event ran into some significant problems as a few top players encountered dev errors at the worst possible time.

Warzone star Aydan was in a trio with players zSmit and Envailed in the tournament. At the very beginning of the final map on September 7, a dev error popped up that caused Aydan to exit the match.

He immediately asked the event admins to allow him to restart the match, but they decided against it. Aydan then went on Twitter and sarcastically described what happened as “normal Warzone things.”

OpTic’s ZLaner and Fifakill also encountered dev errors during the final match of the tournament. Despite this happening, Fifakill regained and was still able to win the $100,000 Solo Yolo after.

ZLaner expressed his frustration with what happened on Twitter: “You’ve got multiple players in a $300,000 tournament lagging out.” He then asked for a reconnect button in Warzone 2 to combat this issue.

Aydan and his trio still managed to secure fourth place in the World Series of Warzone tournament’s NA region. In 12th place was ZLaner’s trio, which consisted of him, Destroy, and Sage.

It remains to be seen if the developers will implement this feature in the Warzone sequel. While Warzone Pacific players are no strangers to dev errors, there is no worse time to encounter one than in a competitive tournament with a large prize pool.
