Warzone 2.0 leaker claims Loadouts & Perks are back with major AI & looting changes
Warzone 2.0 was revealed to the world at Call of Duty Next, but many of the changes such as the looting, Loadouts, lack of Perks, and the abundance of AI proved controversial. YouTuber Metaphor leaked many of these details before and now claims that major changes are on the way.
Now, they’re back with even more Warzone 2 details, leaking that Infinity Ward have reconsidered several of these changes, bringing back Loadouts and Perks, and making major AI and looting changes.
Metaphor left the Warzone 2 update rather cryptic by tweeting emojis instead of spelling everything out. However, one player appears to have figured out exactly what Metahor meant after the YouTuber replied with a bell emoji.
Many content creators playing the early Warzone 2 build during Call of Duty Next complained that the AI was too difficult to distinguish from real players and just got in the way. Now, it appears Infinity Ward have scrapped the roaming AI and they’ll only appear in Strongholds.
Another especially controversial change was removing the classic Loadout Drop, where Warzone 2.0 players would have to buy their custom weapons from The Shop and Perks didn’t exist in any capacity.
Metaphor claims that Infinity Ward have changed their minds, and both Loadouts and Perks will return in Warzone 2.0. There’s no way of knowing exactly how Loadouts will now work, but the general assumption is a system similar to the original Warzone.
Finally, it appears that opening Supply Crates will no longer bring up a small menu where players must click on each item they want to collect. Instead, all of these lootable items should just pop out onto the floor again.
