There’s nothing worse than booting up Call of Duty: Duty Vanguard and being unable to play thanks to the dreaded Kadena – Keesler error. Luckily, there are some simple solutions for how to fix it.

As we wait for Vanguard’s Season 2 update on February 14, players are growing tired of bugs and glitches such as the aim assist glitch and broken spawns.

However, some haven’t been able to play the game at all thanks to the Kadena – Keesler error that doesn’t allow players to connect to Vanguard’s servers. Fortunately, there are some simple workarounds to get back to playing.

Here are all of the known ways to fix Vanguard’s frustrating Kadena – Keesler error code.

Check if Call of Duty: Vanguard’s servers are online

Vanguard’s Kadena – Keesler error prevents you from connecting to the online services, so you should first check if the problem is on your end or Activision’s.

You can check out our guide on how to check Vanguard’s server status. If the servers are down, then you simply need to wait for the issue to be fixed. But if the servers are up and running, you should try out the solutions below.

Restart Call of Duty: Vanguard

If you haven’t tried closing down the Vanguard application and opening it again, this should be your first port of call in fixing the Kadena – Keesler error.

But, if you’ve already tried this or it didn’t work for you, there are a few more options that are known to get rid of the error.

Completely restart your Xbox or PlayStation

The next solution you should try is completely shutting down your Xbox or PlayStation, allowing it to do a power cycle.

  • Here’s how to power cycle your Xbox consoles:
    1. Hold the Power Button until the Xbox completely turns off
    2. Remove the power cable from the Xbox
    3. Wait around 20 seconds and put the cable back in
    4. Turn your Xbox back on
  • How to power cycle a PS4 or PS5:
    1. Hold the PlayStation Power Button until the console beeps twice
    2. Let the PlayStation completely shut down
    3. Remove the power cable from the PlayStation
    4. Wait around 20 seconds and put the cable back in
    5. Turn your PlayStation back on

This should correct any minor issues with your console, hopefully getting rid of Vanguard’s Kadena – Keesler error.

The next, and most reliable, way to fix Vanguard’s Kadena – Keesler error is to completely restart your router.

With the Kadena – Keesler error believed to be caused by a network error that prevents you from accessing Vanguard’s online services, restarting your router should allow you to try to reconnect with a clean slate.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Switch your router off at the wall
  2. Wait around 20 seconds
  3. Switch the router back on and wait for it to completly boot up again
  4. Launch Call of Duty: Vanguard on your Xbox, PlayStation, or PC

You can also try to connect your router to your console or PC with a LAN cable, which will give you a more stable connection.
