A recent poll on the Vanguard subreddit with over 6000 submitted votes has revealed that 75% of players want to see the MVP screen removed with the arrival of Vanguard Season 2.

When Vanguard launched back in November 2021 it brought several new features to the franchise including Combat Pacing, reactive environments, and the MVP voting screen.

It’s safe to say that most new inclusions have been welcomed by fans except for the notorious MVP screen. Players voiced their frustrations relating to the MVP screen in the past and a recent poll indicates that their opinions have not wavered.

The MVP screen pops up after every match without fail. It is an inescapable aspect of the Vanguard Multiplayer experience as it highlights three players on your team who achieved notable accomplishments.

Each player in the lobby can cast a vote for one of the three nominees on their team. It’s a painstaking process that takes up a considerable amount of time after matches. A recent poll posted to the Vanguard subreddit proves that most players want to see it gone.

The poll is presented as a petition to remove the unwanted feature from the game. Whether or not the devs will ever see the post remains to be seen but the original goal of getting 5,000 votes was comfortably surpassed.

At the time of writing, the poll has over 6,200 total votes. Players can select three answers to the question “Do you want the MVP screen removed?” : Yes, No, or I don’t care. The Yes option received a resounding 75% of votes, which indicates the majority of players want to see the MVP screen disappear.

The consensus from players seems to be that the MVP screen simply wastes too much of their game time after matches which slows down the Multiplayer experience, “I don’t like the dead time it adds to the game. Matchmaking already is long enough. 2XP tokens count down real time. Estimate at least 25% is wasted in nongameplay cinematics.”

Many gamers have a limited amount of game time per day and the MVP screen detracts from gameplay by eating into their precious time.
