Warone’s new Pacific Caldera map is just weeks away, and Sledgehammer and Raven have dropped a new event to hype fans up for the release. Unfortunately, many have been left underwhelmed by Secrets of the Pacific, and Dr Disrespect and TimTheTatman have explained why.

Verdansk’s days are numbered, as the new Pacific Caldera map releases on December 8. In the meantime, Raven and Sledgehammer have dropped the Secrets of the Pacific event to give fans a hint of what’s to come.

Players can unlock the Bomber Menace STG44 Blueprint and images of Caldera by finding Intel, but these rewards have left some underwhelmed.

That includes Dr Disrespect and Tim ‘TimTheTatman’ Bettar, who made it clear these rewards were not what they had hoped for.

Warzone Secrets of the Pacific event challenges

After searching for the Intel hidden around Verdansk, the YouTube streamers discussed the Secrets of the Pacific rewards, and why they were disappointing.

“I did this whole thing for postcards Doc?” TimTheTatman groaned. “I’ve seen this since the Nintendo 64. It’s black and grey pictures. I can’t zoom in, I can’t do anything. There’s no ‘coming soon,’ maybe you drop [into Caldera] and it just fizzles back.”

“I’ve got more Caldera in my transition Timmy,” the leader of the Champions Club replied. “I’ve been clicking all over. It’s insane. If it’s a small indy game, and this is the next big event, I’d say ‘OK.'”

“We’re talking about [a company] making $4 billion a quarter! Fortnite [does stuff like this well] because they’ve got the process down, except nobody knows what’s going on in their storyline.”

Despite their frustration with the event, both streamers are still looking forward to the map. TimTheTatman said he thinks there is some “cool stuff” from what he’s seen so far, while Doc says he gets “PUBG vibes” from the map.

Pacific Caldera will be bigger than Verdansk based on early map comparisons, while Calling Cards also gave fans a look at some POIs too.

Warzone’s Pacific Caldera map drops on December 8, so we’ll have to wait just a little longer to see the new arena in full.
