Vanguard players call for new Perk to counter “unbearable” fire grenades

Vanguard players aren’t happy with how overpowered fire grenades are in combat and are calling for Sledgehammer Games to add a powerful Perk to counter this problem.

When you hop into a game of Vanguard, you can try out many different activities like earning Weapon XP to level up weapons or unlocking the Atomic mastery camo. However, the game does have some problems.

One particularly frustrating issue in the Call of Duty title is the overpowered nature of fire grenades. Now, players are now calling the devs to add a Perk powerful enough to counter them.

Reddit user ‘trapdave’ made a post in the Vanguard subreddit, asking the developers to add a Perk that gives you a decent amount of fire resistance. This is meant to lessen the damage from fire grenades.

They then explained how the current state of fire grenades is causing difficulties. “Thermites, Molotovs, and now Incendiary grenades have made the Ship Haus 24/7 playlist almost unbearable,” wrote the Redditor.

Adding a new Perk that provides you with fire resistance will help you survive the large abundance of fire grenades thrown during closed-quarters combat. Other players suggested improving existing Perks instead.

“Boost the useless Flak Jacket Perk or whatever it’s called,” suggested one user. “Explosive damage reduced by 40%. Damage cap at 80 on all explosives unless direct impact. Fire damage reduced by 40%.”

This isn’t the first time players have complained about Vanguard’s fire grenades. Many of them acknowledged that they are currently overpowered, and have been calling for the developers to nerf them.

At the time of writing, it’s unclear if Sledgehammer Games will listen to this feedback and add a new Perk to counter the damage from fire grenades. If they announce a change, we’ll be sure to let you know.
