The Counter Spy Plane is an extremely powerful killstreak in Call of Duty: Vanguard, and players are shocked to discover a hidden ability it makes even stronger.

Call of Duty: Vanguard features some great killstreaks for those good enough to be rewarded for their effort. These provide players with an advantage over their opponents, allowing the tm secure kills more easily.

The Counter Spy Plane is a killstreak that can be earned by scoring four consecutive kills without dying. It helps keep you hidden from the enemies’ minimap, and now players have found a hidden ability within it.

Reddit user ‘BoominBomber’ was in the middle of a Vanguard match when they attempted to call in a Glide Bomb. However, they were unable to do so because a Counter-UAV was already active.

They then realized that the Counter Spy Plane has the added benefit of preventing enemy players from calling in streaks of their own. So, you can use this to put your opponents at a serious disadvantage.

Many of the commenters were surprised by this discovery. Shutting down other killstreaks is a benefit that wasn’t advertised in the Counter Spy Plane’s description. One user called this “A 4 kill EMP.”

Other players recounted stories of them failing to use killstreaks while the Counter Spy Plane was active. “I couldn’t call in a V2 Rocket on Dome last night because of C-UAV,” wrote one commenter.

At the time of writing, it’s unclear whether this is an intended mechanic or simply a glitch. A few players have reported noticing it after the most recent update, so it’s possibly a bug. However, this isn’t confirmed yet.

If this is an unintentional side effect of the update, then we expect the developers to patch it up soon. We’ll be sure to let you know if that’s the case, and this hidden benefit will be available to players until then.
