Modern Warfare 2’s campaign focuses on the new timeline’s Task Force 141, with classic characters such as Captain Price, Ghost, and Soap returning. These characters are also playable in multiplayer and Warzone 2 along with 2019’s Farah, but there’s only one, expensive, way of unlocking them.

Now that Modern Warfare 2 has officially arrived, all of the game’s 23 Operators have been revealed, with the majority unlocked through the campaign, multiplayer, and Spec Ops. Everyone gets the Mil-Sim Operators at launch, and PlayStation players who pre-order through Sony will also get the exclusive Oni Operator.

But, players have been worried after seeing that classic Modern Warfare characters Price, Ghost, Soap, and Farah appear to be locked behind a paywall, with only one way to obtain them.

How to get Price, Ghost, Soap & Farah Operators in Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2

At launch, the only way to unlock Captain Price, Ghost, Soap, and Farah is to purchase Modern Warfare 2’s Vault Edition for $99.99/£99.99. This unlocks the Red Team 141 styles for these characters but there doesn’t appear to be any other way to get the base Operators.

The Call of Duty blog separates these classic Operators from the others, stating that: “Price, Farah, Soap and Ghost Operators are available via the Vault Edition’s Red Team 141 pack.”

So, the Vault Edition’s Red Team 141 Operator Pack is the only way to get these Operators in general, not just the specific skins.

But, it’s worth bearing in mind that this blog only concerns the Operators at launch. It’s unlikely that these will be the only skins for these Operators so it’s possible their base versions will arrive in future seasons, perhaps through a Battle Pass or Store bundles.
