MLG and ESPN team up to bring eSports to XGames Austin, including Call of Duty: Ghosts

For the first time ever, MLG and ESPN are teaming up to bring eSports to the XGames event in Austin, Texas. And, Call of Duty: Ghosts will be featured at the event with 8 teams, including OpTic Gaming, EnVyUs, and Complexity, with the other 5 being determined by pro points seeding.

MLG will invite the top five Call of Duty®: Ghosts teams based on MLG Pro Points rankings and the top three finishers (CompLexity, EnVyUs and OpTic Gaming) from the recent Call of Duty® Championship, presented by Xbox, to compete in the three-day invitational to be played on Xbox One. Fans can watch the competition in person beginning Friday, June 6 or tune in to the broadcast via MLG.tv, MLG.tv apps for iOS and Android, and MLG.tv app for Xbox 360.

Tickets for X Games Austin are available at www.ticketmaster.com/xgames. A three-day X Games Experience ticket is available for $89 and provides access to the MLG tent in addition to all X Games activity. For only $100 more, fans can purchase an extremely limited “3-Day Major League Gaming Premium Upgrade” to secure reserved seating in the MLG tent, a behind-the-scenes tour, meet and greets with top Call of Duty players, a gift bag including MLG merchandise, gaming gear and more.

The event itself will be live streamed on MLG.tv and highlights to be aired on ESPN and ABC.
