How to get massive Weapon XP in Black Ops Cold War Zombies

A Youtuber has discovered a way to level up weapons extremely fast in Black Ops Cold War Zombies.

For the first time, progression is tied across all game modes. No matter which mode you play, weapon rank will increase for use in multiplayer and Zombies.

Treyarch has added a double XP bonus until November 30, so you can rank up your guns much quicker. Players were earning too much Weapon XP in Zombies, so the developers reduced the amount of 2WXP earned.

The community was left frustrated after this, but YouTube channel Glitching Queen uploaded a video explaining how to get ‘massive weapon XP’ in Cold War Zombies.

Earn XP fast

Glitching Queen discovered that killing Zombies in rounds two and three will net you considerably more XP than any other round. As rounds progress, you actually earn continually fewer points. Players have reported that when in the high rounds, weapons no longer earn any XP.

First, if you are a PS4 or PS5 player, they recommend partying up with someone also on PlayStation to receive bonus XP. As part of Activision’s deal with Sony, if PS players are partied up, they will receive a ‘party boost’ where weapons are leveled up even faster.

The method below also works on Xbox consoles and PC, but it won’t be quite as effective.

When ranking a weapon from level 0-40, Glitching Queen recommends playing up to round five then backing out. This maximizes your playtime, so everything you do counts towards unlocking new attachments and Camo Challenges.

When your weapon level is in the high 40s and 50s, you should drop out of Zombies after completing round three. With the drop in XP after this round, it’s not worth playing on if your goal is to rank up your guns.

Repeatedly quit your Zombies game after the first few rounds and you’ll find your weapons ranking up much faster than playing multiplayer or Zombies traditionally. You won’t be able to beat any world-records, though.
