Cold War Season 3 Reloaded Slide Cancel

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War received plenty of changes in the Season 3 Reloaded update, with one of the most noticeable by the community being what appears to be the reverting of the slide cancel nerf.

One of Treyarch’s biggest changes to Black Ops Cold War at the start of Season 3 was applying a major nerf to slide canceling, which had been the incredibly powerful movement technique used by players in the first-person shooter.

However, the most recent Season 3 Reloaded update for Black Ops Cold War looks to have made some changes to this slide cancel nerf and have brought back a great deal of its effectiveness.

Following the Season 3 Reloaded update going live, community members began to take to social media and comment on how slide canceling is back, being a powerful movement technique for players to use when playing once again.

Professional Call of Duty player Parasite took to his Twitter account and commented that “slide cancel instant again woo”.

Community member Seno posted a video showing how players can now slide cancel like before the Season 3 update as they skated around a map in a speedy manner.

The nerf that had been applied to slide canceling in Black Ops Cold War at the start of this season caused players to finish a slide animation instead of being able to stand up during the slide and thus canceling the animation.

Now, it seems that players who were not fans of the slide cancel nerf that had been applied at the beginning of this season will be very happy to see that the game’s Season 3 Reloaded update has reverted this change, and they will be able to move around maps at lighting speed.
