Clever Cold War Zombies Outbreak trick makes Defend objectives easy

‘Defend’ is one of CoD: Cold War Outbreak’s most difficult challenges, especially in the higher rounds, but this clever trick allows you to keep Zombies at bay with ease.

While fighting the undead in Cold War Zombies’ Outbreak mode, players will need to complete one of five main objectives to advance to the next round. Once you advance to the higher rounds, ‘Defend’ becomes one of the most challenging objectives.

You must defend an objective from three waves of Zombies with increasing difficulty. As Zombies get more powerful and frequent in the later rounds, one mistake can let you become quickly overwhelmed and lose you your life and the game.

Zombies players have long taken advantage of clever tricks to get the edge over the undead, such as skipping doors in Firebase Z before they got patched. Now, a Reddit user has shared a way to permanently keep the undead away from the Defend objective.

Reddit user BeThePancakes shared that “You can use the bikes to block off doors during Defend objectives.” This post has received over 4,000 ‘upvotes’ at the time of writing, showing it’s not something many of the Zombies community knew about.

BeThePancakes had to guard the objective inside Golova’s church and cleverly, they parked the bike inside the door to keep the undead at bay.

While you might think the Zombies would tear through the motorcycle, incredibly, they don’t even come near the bike and calmly stand outside the door, letting the objective time peacefully deplete.

According to user asecuredlife, “This is an open secret,” and you should “do it after an objective has started because vehicles will disappear.” BeThePancakes said that they parked the bike there beforehand on Golova, but considered that it’s far away enough from the objective for it to not disappear.

If you want an easier time surviving Defend rounds in Outbreak, make sure to park bikes in the doorways before you get overwhelmed. However, Treyarch will likely patch this, perhaps in the Season 3 update.
