The Patch 3 update for Baldur’s Gate 3 added a bizarre new weapon to the game, and players are wondering why.

Larian Studios recently released Patch 3 for Baldur’s Gate 3, which fixed and improved a number of issues. It comes with the Magic Mirror, a feature for changing your character’s appearance, as well as a full Mac release. It also boosts game performance, especially in Act 3.

However, the strangest addition is a new weapon, that has Baldur’s Gate 3 players confused. The newly added dagger appears in Act 1 and appears to be fairly normal at first glance. In addition to the customary finesse attack or throwable options, it deals 4–7 piercing damage. What’s most baffling about this dagger is its looks, and the name.

The new weapon in Baldur’s Gate 3 is a suspicious shade of brown and almost looks rusted. The dagger is named “Poo-Scraper,” which gives some more insight into its appearance. If you want to confirm your suspicions, the description says it all, as it reads: “Fecund and revolting, the Abyss is not the worst place this has been.”

The discovery of the “Poo-Scraper” prompted a barrage of comments and questions from Baldur’s Gate 3 players. One player eventually posted about it on Reddit with the message, “Whoever’s idea this weapon was, I just wanna talk.” Larian might be referencing the ‘poop knife’ Reddit joke with this bizarre new weapon in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Many users made references to the joke with comments like, “Wait, you guys don’t have a poop knife?” Well, if you want to add the ‘poop knife’ to your arsenal, just look inside the coffins within the Blighted Village’s cellars in Act 1.
