Baldur’s Gate 3 fans can’t stop talking about the surprise features introduced by Patch 5, despite needing an extra 30GB of space to install it. Here’s what the Baldur’s Gate 3 community has been talking about.

Baldur’s Gate 3 players are more than happy with the Patch 5 update Larian Studios just released. Along with some much-needed fixes, Patch 5 brought along new playable epilogues and two more game modes that let players customize some settings of the game as their own D&D session.

Fans received this new 30GB update with open arms, and were ecstatic with everything that the patch notes described for this Baldur’s Gate 3 update. In a Reddit post called “Patch 5 is huge”, players quickly brushed off the size of the update: “Never been so excited for a patch…from any game ever as much as this one,” said Redditor ‘Insektikor.’

The excitement seemed to quickly spread to every Baldur’s Gate 3 player, which made the post one of the most popular on Baldur’s Gate 3 Subreddit. “Woke up today and immediately check for patch news, like a kid checking their stocking on Christmas morning,” also commented Reddit user ‘LingeringCuriosities.

While some players expressed that all the latest updates made Baldur’s Gate 3 feel like a different game than the one originally released, others praised Larian Studios for its support after the launch. “It’s really amazing to see Larian’s commitment to post-launch support and additions,” pointed out Redditor ‘PC_MeganS.’

Some players couldn’t help to compare Larian Studios’ RPG to Starfield, describing it as an “expensive game with lackluster content.” The same happened when other user compared Baldur’s Gate 3 to Diablo 4, and a Redditor called ‘iWentRogue’ even went so far as to state: “If this patch was made by Blizzard, it would cost you like 15$.”

“I thought Christmas morning was Dec 25th??,” joked Redditor ‘NotificationsOff,’ and others chimed in agreeing that “Christmas came early.”
