Many considered this NPC to be a random side character in Baldur’s Gate 3, however, one player claimed that they are way more powerful than others think.

Despite Baldur’s Gate 3 releasing several months ago, it still manages to retain its popularity, as many are attracted to its interesting storyline and turn-based combat. Even its characters have received special treatment, as players seem to connect with the companions on a deeper level.

One character that has not received as much recognition as the other popular ones is Rolan, a Tielfling in Baldur’s Gate 3. However, one fan swears that he is “way more powerful” than players think, making him immensely useful in Act 3.

“Loser” BG3 character makes Lorroakan fight easy

Reddit user ‘Grayshield’ claimed that Rolan might be one of the most powerful characters in the game, even though they considered him to be a “loser” before. The OP clarified that bringing Rolan with him in the Lorroakan boss fight in Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 3 was a good decision as he gave the boss an “instant death.”

“I had always thought of Rolan as a bit of a loser before, but he will always have my respect now,” claimed the OP said as they were impressed with how the character handled the fight. One reply claimed that keeping Rolan in Emerald Grove is essential in Act 1 as he is “a beast in battle” and will protect the Tieflings in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Even the Tieflings acknowledged the Rolan as one player said: “After talking to the Tieflings in act 2, they all say he’s the only reason many of them survived the trip through the Shadow Lands.”

One player offered insight on the outcome of Rolan and the Tieflings in Emerald Grove if the player chose to side with the Goblins. They said: “Conversely, if you raid the Grove, but tell Roland to leave beforehand, you’ll find he makes it to Baldur’s Gate just fine on his own.”
