Baldur's Gate 3 Raphael

House of Hope is one of the major dungeons in the final act of Baldur’s Gate 3. Since it’s Raphael’s domain, the location is hidden by a puzzle that you’ll need to figure out to enter. Here’s what you need to do to enter the House of Hope in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has plenty of locations with valuable loot, but nothing more important than what players can find inside the House of Hope. If you traveled all around Faerun and leveled up your characters enough, you might have a chance to sneak in and get priced items.

In order to enter the House of Hope, you’ll need to create a portal that will help you travel to the location. Here’s everything you should know about the House of Hope and how to enter it in Baldur’s Gate 3.

What is the House of Hope in Baldur’s Gate 3?

The House of Hope is one of the major dungeons in Baldur’s Gate 3. You’ll get to visit this location while meeting the devil Raphael in Act 1, but you can return to it in Act 2.

You can sneak to the House of Hope to try to cancel the deal made with Raphael or to steal his Orphic Hammer, a legendary Warhammer capable of freeing the Githyanki prince Orpheus from the Astral Prism.

Keep in mind that the House of Hope is one of the toughest spots in Baldur’s Gate 3, which leads to a final fight against Raphael. He’s regarded as the most difficult boss in all the game.

Where to find House of Hope in Baldur’s Gate 3?

To get to the House of Hope in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll need to head to the Devil’s Fee. You’ll find it by traveling to the Lower City Central Wall waypoint and heading north. You’ll recognize the location because there are devil plaques on the pillars that decorate the entrance.

If you get there, you’ll meet a diabolist called Helsik, the dwarf that runs the place. If you decide to explore the location before talking to her, you can read her diary and open some of her chests to discover that she’s more than a collector.

When you then talk to her about going to the House of Hope, you can convince her to help you with these options:

  • Pay her 20,000 gold.
  • Try to persuade her to pay half the price for her help.
  • Agree to pay her with the Gauntlets of Hill Giant Strength, a powerful artifact stolen from Raphael’s house.

If you agree to pay her, you’ll receive the ritual instructions and materials to create a portal to the House of Hope. You should try pickpocketing her immediately to recover the sum.

However, if you don’t want to make a deal with her, you can get the items you need in random chests. Keep in mind that to open these chests, you’ll need to have proficiency with lock picking.

Devil’s Fee is decorated by two pillars with demon plaques at the entrance.

Once you have all five items, you can go to the ritual star located on the second floor of the Devil’s Fee. If you didn’t get Helsik instructions, you can place them in this order:

  • Place the skull at the top of the star just below the arrow.
  • To the left of the skull, place the incense.
  • To the left of the skull, place the Coin of Mammon.
  • Place the Infernal Marbel at the center of the star. Keep in mind that there will be a space left empty.

If the ingredients lit up, the process is working. Once all items are placed, the portal to the House of Hope will open, and you can enter any time you wish.
