Baldur’s Gate 3 has received yet another update with Hotfix 9, a small update that fixes bugs and crashes, but also revamps the Magic Mirror, so here are the full patch notes.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been updated frequently ever since its release on August 3, with constant fixes and improvements. Larian have been actively listening to community feedback and their patches reflect that. Patch 3, the last major update, fixed some serious performance issues that players were complaining about and also introduced some highly requested quality-of-life changes.

It still left behind other issues in Baldur’s Gate 3, and recent hotfixes have been fixing these. The last update, Hotfix 8, shaved back His Majesty and fixed the shared stash issue, just as players requested. The new hotfix also fixes some issues, but it adds some new features as well. So here’s everything that was changed with the Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix 9 patch notes.

Magic Mirror changes in Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix 9

Hotfix 9 for Baldur’s Gate 3 is a small update that fixes some bugs and crashes while also adding new features to the Magic Mirror.

The Magic Mirror feature was added to Patch 3 after the community requested for a way to change their appearance. With this item, you can change your face whenever you want, without having to start a new game. Hotfix 9 extends the Magic Mirror’s utility by allowing you to change your name with it. Additionally, you can now change the appearance of your hirelings with the Magic Mirror in Baldur’s Gate 3.

This can potentially change the way you play the game. Previously, most players would almost always travel with the Origin companions, but now you can create your own squad exactly how you want. Other changes and fixes were aimed at game-breaking bugs, like crashes, dialogue and romance bugs, visual glitches, and even a bug added by Hotfix 8.
