Microsoft reveals list of publishers supporting Xbox One Backwards Compatibility, Activision not listed

During Microsoft’s Xbox Gamescom conference, Microsoft revealed the list of publishers that are currently planning on supporting Xbox One’s new backwards compatibility feature. All major publishers were listed expect for one: Activision. It appears Activision will not support the feature, regardless of how many votes Call of Duty titles have been getting on the Xbox Forums recently. In fact, Black Ops II is the most requested title.

Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg posted on Twitter stating that fans have to ask Activision for support, as Microsoft has no control over which publishers decide to support this new feature. Xbox announced that the new feature is coming in November 2015 for free for all Xbox One users.

This seems to now support the idea of possible remasters of Call of Duty titles in the future. Activision CEO said before that the company has been thinking about it a lot, but no announcements have been made.
