Will Fortune’s Keep replace Rebirth Island in Warzone?

In an official blog post, the Call of Duty developers confirmed that the new Fortune’s Keep map will not replace Rebirth Island. Instead, all 3 maps will coexist via a regular weekly playlist rotation.

The developers stated: “Stand by for weekly playlist updates to curate experiences across the trio of playable maps – the brand-new Fortune’s Keep locale, Rebirth Island, and Caldera – as the season gets underway.”

Rebirth Island won’t be in the game when Season 4 starts but will return a couple of weeks after the major update. This will come as good news to fans of the Alcatraz-based map, who were worried it may disappear forever like Verdansk.

Players were first convinced that they’d have to leave Rebirth Island when the blog post detailing the Occupation Scan in-game event, stated that it “should keep everyone even more alert on an island from which they may need to escape.”

Another blog post stated that mercenary forces were set to attack Rebirth, so players should “standby for details on extraction protocols.” It’s reassuring to know that Rebirth Island will remain playable after Fortune’s Keep arrives.
