Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is almost here, and many fans are wondering if the new era will begin with one of the game’s popular live events. Here’s everything we know about the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 finale so far.

The beginning of Fortnite Chapter 4 has been a memorable one so far, delivering plenty of new features and crossovers. Season 1 brought the new Reality Augment perks, along with the skins for The Witcher and Dragon Ball.

But the next major update is already upon us and players are looking ahead to Chapter 4 Season 2, which will reportedly bring Attack on Titan skins as part of the new Battle Pass.

Fortnite seasons often come with huge one-off live events to kick off the new era, introducing a new theme and drastically altering the map. So, will there be a live event to start Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2?

Will Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 end with a live event?

As it stands, Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 will not start with a live event. Epic have begun teasing the next big update and its Japanese theme, but there has been no mention of a live finale.

With Season 2 just hours away, this means it’s incredibly unlikely that we’ll see Chapter 4 Season 1 end with a live event.

The Rift Gate has been slowly built all season, will it play a role at the start of Chapter 4 Season 2?

While these one-off spectacles are extremely popular among fans, this wouldn’t be the first time that the devs chose to roll out a major update with less fanfare. They usually take place every couple of seasons, so if Season 2 does skip the live event players can rest assured that Chapter 4 Season 3 will make up for it.

With a fully-fledged live event probably not on the cards, Chapter 4 Season 2 will likely launch with a cinematic trailer explaining the latest story developments.

Fans have speculated that the conclusion of Season 1 will revolve around the Rift Gate which was built on the island over the course of many updates. In recent days, the gate has begun to destabilize and shake uncontrollably.

Only time will tell who or what is set to emerge through the Rift Gate, but it will likely have a major impact on both the theme and layout of the Fortnite map going forward.

Of course, this is all just speculation until Epic officially announces their plans for the end of Chapter 4 Season 1 and the start of Season 2. We’ll be sure to keep this page updated with the latest details.
