Call of Duty expert WhosImmortal has revealed that the Black Ops Cold War DMR is still extremely overpowered in Warzone Pacific Season 2 Reloaded.

When it was first added to Warzone, the Black Ops Cold War DMR was so broken that it was able to eliminate enemies in just two shots at any range, and Raven Software ended up nerfing the weapon.

Now, Warzone expert WhosImmortal has looked at the DMR’s capabilities and revealed that it’s still one of the most broken weapons in the game, describing it as “insanely overpowered” in Season 2 Reloaded.

Immortal went over TrueGameData’s Warzone stats that compared the weapon with the Cold War AK-47, C58, and Automaton, pointing out that DMR in close-range combat has an “insane” TTK compared to the rest.

The weapon’s ability to take down enemies quickly makes it ideal for the close-quarters layout of Rebirth Island. Immortal showcased that the weapon also does high damage in long-range combat on Caldera.

According to the Warzone expert, the main drawback of the weapon is that it’s single-shot, which means that you’ll need a quick trigger finger to fire rapid shots. This is why he describes the DMR as “high risk, high reward.”

WhosImmortal’s Warzone DMR loadout

  • Muzzle: Agency Silencer
  • Barrel: 17.1” Strike Team
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Foregrip
  • Rear Grip: Airborne Elastic Wrap

This DMR loadout starts with the Agency Silencer to boost the damage range and bullet velocity. The 17.1” Strike Team buffs the weapon’s fire rate and improves mobility by boosting the aim walking movement speed.

Equipping the Field Agent Foregrip will help bring the recoil under control for improved accuracy, and you can use the Axial Arms 3x optic’s magnification to pick off enemies during long-range combat.

Finally, this loadout adds the Airborne Elastic Wrap to boost the weapon’s stability and flinch resistance while also improving the ADS speed. Using these attachments will make the DMR deadly at any range.

While the weapon’s single-shot nature holds it back a bit, the high damage and impressive recoil control make it a powerhouse in Caldera and Rebirth Island, so be sure to try it out the next time you hop into a Warzone match.
