Where to find the Downed helicopter in Fortnite

Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 6, has a new collection of challenges titled “Foreshadowing Quests,” and you’ll need to investigate a Downed Black Helicopter to complete them. Here’s how you can find it.

With Fortnite Season 7 approaching quickly, you have a limited amount of time to level up your Season 6 Battle Pass and unlock some neat cosmetics. Now, you can try out some new challenges called the Foreshadowing Quests.

Each of these is worth 24,000 XP and point towards a possible alien invasion in Season 7. One of these requires you to investigate a Black Helicopter that crashed somewhere on the Island. Here’s how you can find it on the map.

Fortnite's Downed Black Helicopter

The Downed Black Helicopter is located near one of the Guardian Towers on the south side of Fortnite Island, just northwest of Misty Meadows and Lazy Lake Island.

Make your way to the area above the Guardian Tower, search for a ditch on the ground. You’ll find the Downed Black Helicopter there and can interact with it to complete the challenge.

To make things a bit easier, we’ve marked this area on the map below.

Once that’s done, you’ll net yourself 24,000 XP will get to complete the next set of Foreshadowing Quests. This one gives a small hint at the return of IO Guards, who were prominent enemies during Season 5.

Each of the Foreshadowing Quests gives hints about what’s coming next in Fortnite’s story. Many of these point towards the arrival of mysterious beings from outer space, so we’ll see aliens in the game soon.

While we don’t know what exactly Epic Games have planned for Fortnite Season 7, we’ll know soon enough as it’s set to arrive on June 8, 2021.
