Where to find the Loch Ness Monster Easter Egg in GTA Online

Andrew Highton

The Loch Ness Monster has finally been confirmed in the world, strangely in the waters of Cayo Perico. We know where the biggest monster of Scottish folklore has finally surfaced in GTA Online and can tell you how to find the Easter Egg.

Aside from one fabricated sighting in 1934, “Nessie” has forever be engrained in the myth section of human history and it’s suspected that the creature has never actually existed. That is until now.

As is to be expected in a Grand Theft Auto game, a Heist escape has been able to spring the sudden appearance of one of Earth’s greatest mysteries…in the waters of Cayo Perico.

Loch Ness Monster Easter Egg in GTA Online

There were some early rumblings that a cool Easter Egg was hidden in Rockstar’s newest expansion as a sand sculpture of the Loch Ness Monster can actually be located at the island’s beach party somewhere behind a bar. It seemed quite out of place and got people wondering if Nessie had decided it needed a vacation away from the Highlands.

Well thanks to the efforts of Reddit user FlamingBlades20, we can now officially confirm that the hulking Scottish sight is certainly one to behold.

It seems the creature can only be seen when you are attempting to “Escape Cayo Perico”. But you can find it in different spots during the final escape in The Heist. You can’t hurt the Loch Ness Monster and it’s not actually considered a living object and is more of a prop. So this means it doesn’t have fully-fledged animations or make sounds.

You’re only supposed to be able to see the creature from a distance using a camera or a Sniper Rifle scope, but due to it being a bit buggy, it’s possible that the creature won’t dive into the water immediately. So it will actually remain and allow you to get right up close to it like FlamingBlades20 does.

It’s a nice little touch that goes along with some of the series’ most famous Easter Eggs such as Bigfoot and ghosts.
