Fortnite players have been theorizing about the Hidden Bunkers since Chapter 1, and they’ve remained on the map in Chapter 2. Here are the locations for all three.
We’re almost in Fortnite’s 16th Season, and both the story and map have continued to evolve and change with each of these new updates. What’s remained a constant is the mystery of the Hidden Bunkers.
Bunkers have been a source of intrigue for Fortnite players since Chapter 1 when a mysterious bunker door arrived in Weeping Woods. No matter how the map changed, the bunker remained. The Hidden Bunkers have continued into Chapter 2, but the mystery isn’t any closer to being solved.
If you want to check out these bunkers for yourself, here are their locations in Fortnite Chapter 2.
What are Fortnite’s Hidden Bunkers?
Nobody really knows what these mysterious bunker doors found around the Fortnite map are for, or what’s underneath them.
Theories about the bunker doors are almost as old as the battle royale itself. The first Hidden Bunker appeared in Weeping Woods in Fortnite Chapter 1, and with every season, players expected the door to be involved in the story in some way. It never was, however.
Then, when we moved to Fortnite Chapter 2, and a whole new island, the Hidden Bunkers returned. Epic Games have never acknowledged them until Chapter 2, Season 5’s Week 9 Quests, where players were tasked with finding one of them.
It’s possible that this was Epic’s way of putting them back in players’ minds and reminding us that they are still there. With Fortnite continuing its convoluted story with Season 6, it’s growing increasingly likely that the Bunkers will become important in the future.
They could just be something Epic Games have placed on the map to poke fun at Fortnite theory crafters, although we doubt it.
Fortnite Hidden Bunker locations
There are three bunkers spread out across the Fortnite Chapter 2 map, and all of them difficult to find if you don’t know where to go. One is hidden underwater, one under a shack, and the last behind a bush at the very edge of the map.

To make things easy for you, with the help of Fortnite.GG, we’ve put together a map showing where these bunkers are.
As you can guess by their name, these Hidden Bunkers are very hard to find. Even with a map to help, you might not be able to spot them, so read on for their detailed locations.
Underwater Hidden Bunker location
The first bunker is perhaps the most difficult to find as there’s very little chance you’ll approach it by accident.

Head to the coast west of Weeping Woods and you’ll find a bay directly south of Holly Hedges. Step into the bay and swim out to sea as if you’re going off the map and scan the ocean floor until you spot the bunker door.
Unremarkable Shack Hidden Bunker location
The second bunker is found at the Unremarkable Shack POI on the map. Unless you land at this location to loot, there’s very little chance you’d stumble across it.
Go to the island north-west of Craggy Cliffs and you’ll find a small two-story shack. Smash open the wooden panels and debris on the ground floor and you’ll find the Hidden Bunker door.
Cliffside Hidden Bunker location
The third bunker is well off the beaten track, hidden underneath a bush at the very edge of the map.
To find it, you’ll need to go to the cliffs at the edge of the map east of Retail Row. Follow the cliff-edge south until you stumble upon a small campsite with two tents. Keep going south of this campsite and you’ll find a large bush between two trees. You wouldn’t tell just by looking at it, but the Hidden Bunker is located underneath this bush.
With Fortnite Season 5’s season-ending event set for March 16, perhaps the mystery behind these bunkers will finally be solved.
