Gas Can in Fortnite Chapter 3

Fortnite Chapter 3’s Weekly Challenges task players with damaging opponents or player built structures by detonating Gas Cans, so here’s where to find them.

Fortnite Chapter 3 is in full swing as the Winterfest event wraps up, and there are the usual weekly challenges to complete. Week 4 challenges players to “Damage opponents or player built structures by detonating a Gas Can.”

Here are the best spots to get your hands on a Gas Can in Chapter 3, Season 1, and how to detonate them.

Gas Cans can be found all over the Fortnite Chapter 3 island, but we recommend heading to Behemoth Bridge north of Loot Lake, where you can find up to nine Gas Cans.

But you can go anywhere to find them as Gas Stations have guaranteed spawns, and sheds and outhouses usually have them too.

You can check out Fortnite.GG’s map above, which details every Gas Can location on the Flipped map.

Detonating Gas Cans in Fortnite is as simple as shooting them or hitting them with your Pickaxe, but using the explosion to damage opponents is where it gets more tricky.

We recommend avoiding the “damage opponents” aspect of the challenge, and instead, focus on “player built structures.” Just carry the Gas Can over to where enemies have been fighting and place the Gas Can inside their leftover builds. Blow it up, and you’ll finish the challenge instantly.

Completing this Weekly Quest will grant you 25,000 XP towards finishing the Battle Pass, so is well worth your time.

Also, make sure you finish all of the Winterfest 2021 Quests before they expire on January 6, 2022.
