When is the Shuriken coming to Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2?

Many Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 players are wondering when the Shuriken is coming to the game after getting a taste of the Equipment on Ashika Island.

The Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 2 updates provided a lot of new content for players, with the mid-season Reloaded patch set to be released soon, which will provide even more, including a new weapon.

One of the most captivating additions in Season 2 for Warzone 2 was Ashika Island, which obviously brought fan-favorite mode Resurgence back, but also provided a new Japanese-themed map for players to explore and master.

Not only did Ashika Island provide players with new POIs and secrets such as the underground bunker to discover, but it also introduced players to the Shuriken Equipment, which was also part of one of the maps Easter eggs.

This has left many wondering when the Shuriken will be available across Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 and even be used in Custom Loadouts.

How to get the Shuriken in Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2

Currently, the Shuriken is only available in Warzone 2’s Ashika Island map. This means that the only way for players to pick up and use the Shuriken is on Ashika Island, as it cannot be unlocked for use in Custom Loadouts in Al Mazrah or Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer.

Will the Shuriken arrive in Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 custom loadouts?

According to the Call of Duty blog, the Shuriken Lethal Equipment will not be available to use in Custom Loadouts “until after Season 2.”

This means that it will not be arriving for Modern Warfare 2 or Warzone 2 Custom Loadouts for Season 2 Reloaded. Although not explicitly stated, we expect to see the Shuriken arrive for the Season 3 update but will keep you updated as new information is released.
