When is the next Overwatch 2 Double XP event?
Double XP gives Overwatch 2 players a huge boost in completing the seasonal Battle Pass, so here’s everything we know about the next Overwatch 2 Double XP event.
With Overwatch 2, Blizzard have ditched loot boxes and instead brought in seasonal Battle Passes. Now, players know exactly what they’re working towards, and how much XP they need to achieve to unlock all of the rewards before the season ends.
You’ll want to focus on completing all of the challenges to finish the Battle Pass as soon as possible, but Blizzard are also putting on Double Match XP weekends. These arrive to help players make up for any lost time during the server issues at launch.
Players are always looking for the fastest ways to earn XP in Overwatch 2, so here’s everything we know about one of those ways in the next Double XP event.
Overwatch 2 Double XP dates
The first Double XP Weekend for Overwatch 2 will commence on October 21, 2022, and will officially go live at 11:00 AM PDT and will finish up on October 24, 2022, at 11:00 AM PDT.
Not only that, but Blizzard have also gone ahead and announced future Double XP Weekends well in advance to give players ample time to plan.
Event number two is scheduled for October 28, 2022, at 11:00 AM PDT, with that one wrapping up on October 31, 2022, at the same time of 11:00 AM PDT.
A further event is also in the pipeline, currently penciled in for November 24, 2022, starting at 11:00 AM PDT. Its time frame is very similar, with the XP-boosting event coming to an end on November 28, 2022, at 11:00 AM PDT.
Here’s a recap of all the Overwatch 2 Double XP dates and times:
- October 21, 2022, 11:00 AM PDT – October 24, 2022, 11:00 AM PDT
- October 28, 2022, 11:00 AM PDT – October 31, 2022, 11:00 AM PDT
- November 24, 2022, 11:00 AM PDT – November 28, 2022, 11:00 AM PDT
These Double Match XP weekends come as part of an apology for Overwatch 2’s rocky launch, with players also being able to claim the Cursed Captain Reaper Legendary skin and a Health Pack Weapon Charm on October 25.
It appears Overwatch 2’s Battle Passes will disappear when the new season arrives, with Season 2 set for December 6, so be sure to keep an eye out for the Double XP and play during that time.
