When is the next Disney Dreamlight Valley update?
We can expect the next update for Disney Dreamlight Valley known as Update 9 to drop sometime in February or March 2024. Although the developers have not hinted at any specific dates yet, we know there will be potentially new characters, new realms, quests, recipes, and much more.
The recent update saw the return of the Pumpkin King along with the game’s first DLC ‘A Rift In Time’ which introduced Rapunzel, Gaston, and EVE as new characters, new Biomes named Ancient’s Landing, Glittering Dunes, and the Wild Tangle, and a lot more.

According to the content roadmap posted by Disney Dreamlifght Valley on X (formerly Twitter), there are five updates lined up for the game until Summer 2024 out of which, The Pumpkin King Returns update has been released in December 2023.
Although the remaining four updates do not have a release date, they have a release window starting from Late Winter 2024 till Summer 2024. The first update teases a new Monsters, Inc. Realm featuring Mike Wazowski & Sulley and is scheduled to be released around February or March.
The Early Spring update will likely arrive in April while the Late Spring update will be released in May or June. These updates will see the introduction of a new character, most likely Daisy Duck along with a mysterious star path and the Mulan Realm respectively.
The Summer update will introduce a new princess that will be “bringing new culinary delights” and is scheduled for June or July.
Disney Dreamlight Valley A Rift In Time expansion pack updates
Apart from the free updates, Gameloft have also teased updates to the paid expansion pack, ‘A Rift In Time,’ that will come alongside free updates. It is worth noting that you will only get the updates if you own the expansion pack.
The upcoming updates to the DLC mention that in the Spring update, you’ll get to explore Ancient’s Landing and meet a new villager, and the Summer update will see you defeating Jafar to ‘fix the rift in time.’
