The new EA FC 24 will not only put an end to the partnership between EA Sports and FIFA but also to the naming of one of the most popular franchises in the video game industry. Now, under the name EA Sports FC, the devs aim to remain in the market for several more years, and here’s everything you need to know about it.

EA Sports and FIFA have worked together since 1993 and have created a strong and loyal community, but nothing lasts forever. The end of the FIFA video game series doesn’t mean that EA Sports will never produce another football game again.

Instead, EA Sports will continue to produce its own football simulator where FIFA 23 left off, but under the name of EA Sports FC. At first, this rebrand led to many questions in the community. However, with its release just around the corner and all its new features revealed, the community is eager to start playing this new game.

Here’s everything you need to know about EA FC 24.

EA FC 24 explained

When EA Sports’ next football game arrives on September 22, 2023 for early access players, it will boast the new EA FC 24 name rather than FIFA 24, doing away with their FIFA association. This makes FIFA 23 the last game to be released under the joint EA Sports and FIFA banner.

Essentially, EA FC 24 will pick up where FIFA 23 left off, offering the same classic gameplay and modes, like Ultimate Team, Career mode, and Pro Clubs, that are synonymous with the franchise. While EA FC 24 is sure to feel like the FIFA games that players have come to know and love, EA Sports have also introduced new features aimed at enhancing the gaming experience.

Football fans need not worry as EA FC 24 is still retaining the licenses that provide the game with the most authentic stadiums, teams, and leagues from around the world.

As for FIFA, it’s already been reported that their next step is to develop their very own football video game to compete with EA Sports FC. Polygon reported that “FIFA’s plan is to have a FIFA-branded simulation soccer game back on the market in 2024.”

The popular FIFA video game franchise has endured for many years in large part due to the partnership between game developers EA Sports and the FIFA federation. However, the next chapter of the EA Sports football title will put an end to the partnership between the two entities.
