Warzone stats prove NZ-41 “wasn’t really nerfed” in July 7 update
According to Warzone stats, the NZ-41’s recoil recovery didn’t actually receive the nerf that was mentioned in the July 7 patch notes.

Warzone’s July 7 update patch notes mention a recoil nerf for the NZ-41 but Call of Duty expert WhosImmortal has revealed stats proving that the weapon wasn’t actually nerfed.
The NZ-41 dominated Warzone’s medium-long range meta for so long that Raven nerfed the weapon in both Season 4 and the June 30 update. However, this made little difference and it still maintained its position as the most popular gun.
On July 7, Raven Software implemented another nerf in an attempt to make the NZ-41 feel more balanced, but the weapon continues to be a powerhouse. Now, some Warzone stats have revealed that the weapon wasn’t actually nerfed.

The July 7 update patch notes mention a 20% reduction in the NZ-41’s recoil recovery in order to make the weapon more difficult to control, but the weapon’s stats on sym.gg show a discrepancy.
According to the stats, the NZ-41’s recoil recovery was actually only reduced by 2.78% instead of the 20% mentioned in the patch notes. Warzone expert WhosImmortal claims that the weapon’s recoil is not going to feel any different “because it wasn’t really nerfed.”
He then explained that even if the developers did reduce the recoil recovery by 20% then it wouldn’t make much of a difference as it isn’t a major factor in most weapons, especially the NZ-41.

The stats expert added that “nerfing 20% of nothing is still nothing.” After claiming that the recoil is “way too easy,” he suggested giving the NZ-41 damage drop-off at range in order to make it “really feel like a balanced meta weapon.”
This is a sentiment shared by others in the Warzone community as players feel that the weapon is still absolutely meta in Season 4. At the time of writing, it remains to be seen how the developers will alter the weapon in a future update.
