Warzone players beg Raven to add custom controller binding

Frustrated with having to use Warzone’s preset controller options, players are desperate for Raven Software to add custom controller binding options.

How players can customize their controller bindings varies from game to game, with games such as Fortnite giving players full control, while Warzone offers very little in terms of button layout.

With forced crossplay and repeated slide canceling ruining their controllers, Warzone console players are desperate for Raven Software to add custom controller binding options that allow them to configure their controls exactly how they’d like.

Players with unofficial controllers or the Xbox Elite controllers can fully customize every button. This lets them tailor their Warzone controls to their preference, but those who have first-party controllers are stuck with what Raven Software offers them.

Asking Raven Software, “where the hell is custom controller binding?” Reddit user TimewornTinman explained how they want to completely swap around their controls to keep their thumb on the right stick as much as possible. But, Warzone’s pre-set controls don’t allow them to get it exactly how they would like.

While many players suggested they purchase a third-party controller or buy a back button attachment, the issues would be fixed by giving players full access to their button layouts. One player called it a “basic feature” that’s been “ignored.”

PlayStation does give the option to change button binds through the Accessibility menus, allowing each button to be swapped for another. However, this applies the new binds across every aspect of your PlayStation experience, which can make it extremely difficult to navigate menus and switch to other games.

Console Warzone players have also been desperate for an FOV slider, which may arrive with the PS5 and Xbox Series update that’s confirmed to be in development. Perhaps Raven will give players more controller options when this update eventually arrives.
