Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific developers Raven Software have officially lowered Caldera’s player count in order to prevent a bug causing players to disconnect from matches.

Warzone Pacific has been suffering from many bugs and glitches over the festive period, including players being able to redeploy with their weapons and Perks. However, players have been suffering from disconnects, preventing them from playing the game.

Raven Software released a temporary solution on December 29, officially lowering the number of players on Caldera.

Players began to notice that Caldera’s player count had been reduced from 150 to 140 on December 29. It turns out that this wasn’t an accidental change, as Raven Software announced it on their Trello board

Raven Software added a card to their Caldera Issues Trello column on December 29, announcing that the “Max Player count has been reduced to help mitigate issues causing Players to disconnect from matches” in Core Modes.

As pointed out by YouTuber JGOD, here are all of the lobby sizes following the change:

  • Vanguard Quads: 152
  • BR Quads, Duos, and Solos: 140
  • BR Trios: 138

Although the change isn’t too drastic, it remains to be seen how lowering the player count by ten players will affect gameplay.

When will Warzone Caldera’s player count increase again?

There’s no way of knowing when Caldera’s player count may increase again, as Raven Software first need to iron out the issue that’s causing disconnects.

The majority of the dev team are on holiday break, so it’s likely that the issue will be fixed once they return after New Year. We expect there to be a large update incoming, as invisible skins and broken Shotguns have been swarming Caldera.
