Warzone Pacific expert WhosImmortal has brought attention to a forgotten Black Ops Cold War Assault Rifle, claiming that it’s now meta in Season 5 Reloaded.

When you hop into a game of Warzone, you’ll find plenty of powerful weapons to take with you into battle, and the Season 5 Reloaded update has brought a few underused guns back into the spotlight.

Call of Duty expert WhosImmortal looked at all the meta changes that arrived with the seasonal update and revealed which forgotten Black Ops Cold War weapon is now worth trying out.

The Season 5 Reloaded update added numerous buffs to existing weapons, with the QBZ-83 having its headshot damage multiplier increased from 1.5 to 1.6. Its neck damage multiplier was also boosted to 1.25, up from 1.2.

This weapon has not been a popular choice for a while and currently has a low pick rate of 0.16 on WZRanked. However, WhosImmortal stated that these changes have made the TTK of the QBZ “faster than ever,” allowing it to compete with the best non-Vanguard guns.

WhosImmortal’s QBZ Warzone loadout

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 15.5″ Task Force
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Magazine: Stanag 60 Rnd Drums

The Agency Suppressor muzzle and 15.5″ Task Force barrel will improve the weapon’s bullet velocity, damage range, and recoil control. The muzzle also has the advantage of keeping you hidden on the map.

WhosImmortal equipped the Field Agent Grip to further control recoil, making the gun into a “laser beam.” With this loadout, you’ll be able to eliminate enemies with great accuracy in mid-range combat.

He compared the gun’s stats to those of other powerful weapons like the Automaton, STG44, and XM4. While these are all impressive options, WhosImmortal claimed that the QBZ is “completely beating out” all of them when it comes to killing enemies quickly at range.
