Resurgence was an incredibly popular mode in the original Warzone, and a new leak seems to have revealed what the upcoming Warzone 2 Resurgence map will look like when it drops in 2023.

Warzone 2‘s new Al Mazrah map has gone down well with the community so far, thanks in no small part to the many classic CoD maps scattered around as POIs. But although the new battle royale map is proving popular, many players have been waiting for Resurgence to arrive.

The fast-paced action of Resurgence made it a well-loved alternative in the original Warzone, and the smaller maps like Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep gained a dedicated fanbase.

Now, a new leak seems to have given players their first look at what the upcoming Warzone 2 Resurgence map will look like.

Taken from a CoD Facebook group, Reddit user ‘iamDEVANS’ shared an image to the Warzone subreddit showing the leaked layout of the new Resurgence map, along with the names of a number of POIs.

The centerpiece of the new battleground seems to be a Castle found towards the middle, overlooking a settlement called Residential, as well as a Port and Power Plant.

Towards the bottom is a built-up area called Town Center, which is likely to have plenty of houses and shops to loot, and a Beach Club section that extends out into the sea.

While this screenshot doesn’t show the map in action, the large grassy area in the middle should make it stand out from the harsh desert of Al Mazrah – at least from a visual point of view.

The leak didn’t go as far as giving us a name for the map, but it did hint that Warzone 2 Resurgence will feature around 50 players this time around, up from 40 on Rebirth Island. It also claimed that the map will be used on Ground War and tie in to DMZ.

It’s worth keeping in mind still just a leak until Activision officially reveals Warzone 2 Resurgence themselves.

Reports have suggested that the mode is set to arrive in an update in 2023, so more details should be available in the coming months.
