With Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded having brought numerous weapon buffs and nerfs, players are calling for the developers to also make improvements to an Assault Rifle that’s been forgotten.

Warzone 2 received significant changes to its meta with the arrival of the Season 2 Reloaded update which featured the brand-new Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle as well as buffs and nerfs for existing guns.

Meta changes like these result in different weapons getting the spotlight during the season, but Warzone 2 players feel that one classic Assault Rifle has been long overlooked by the developers.

Reddit user ‘whomstd-ve’ shared an image of the M16 Assault Rifle in the Warzone 2 subreddit, stating that they had “forgotten this gun is in the game.” This weapon currently has a low pick rate of 0.2% according to WZRanked.

The M16 Assault Rifle has remained untouched by the latest seasonal update, and players in this thread voiced their desire to see it receive a significant upgrade that will bring it back into the spotlight.

After one commenter stated that the weapon “needs a buff,” another replied that this change would make the M16 “broken strong.” This is because a few users remembered the Assault Rifle as being “too op” in the first Warzone.

One player commented: “M16 was nasty in a lot of other CoDs. They’ve ruined it here.” Many players pointed out that they’ve rarely been taken down by this weapon in Warzone 2 matches, with a few labeling it as “the worst gun in the game right now.”

Players are hoping that the developers will implement changes that will ensure that the M16 Assault Rifle is no longer “useless.” It remains to be seen if the gun will receive any significant buffs.
