Warzone 2 players claim “disappointing” Crossbow already needs major buff
ActivisionWarzone 2 Season 2 introduced the Crossbow for players to try out, but the community is already calling for the developers to buff it after being disappointed by the new weapon.
Warzone 2 received a plethora of fun content in Season 2 that players are hopping into the Call of Duty title to check out, including a brand-new Resurgence map known as Ashika Island and new weaponry.
One of the new weapons that arrived in the Season 2 update is the Crossbow, which is a new member of the Marksman Rifle class. However, this weapon hasn’t won over players with its capabilities.
Reddit user ‘Lishkah254’ expressed their disappointment with this weapon in the Warzone 2 subreddit, particularly over the fact that the Crossbow can’t eliminate enemies with a single shot.
The Crossbow takes a total of three seconds to reload, and many in the thread agreed with the sentiment that the weapon should make up for this downside by being powerful enough to one-shot enemies.
One user stated: “It’s just weird to add a weapon with a 3-second reload and it needing 2 shots to down in most instances.” Another player added: “They hyped the hell out of this gun with an event and a 2-week time gate for this?”
A couple of players described the Crossbow as a “disappointment,” and most of the commenters agreed that the new weapon is in dire need of a buff to the amount of damage that it dishes out.
One commenter explained that the only way for the Crossbow to be an asset is if it can one-shot enemies, even if that would require “thermite or syntax arrows.”
While some claimed that it can be one-shot with headshots while using explosive bolts, another user claimed that this is impossible to do. At the time of writing, it remains to be seen how the devs will respond to these complaints.
