Warzone 2 players would like to see more variation in the time of day when playing on Al Mazrah, calling for a Fortnite-esque day and night cycle.

Warzone 2 players are eager to get their hands on Season 2, as the update promises many exciting changes, including the return of 1v1 Gulag and looting changes.

That said, players are constantly looking for new updates and content, and the latest has players wanting a night version of Al Mazrah. In Warzone 1, players were briefly treated to a night version of Verdansk, and it was loved by the community.

Unfortunately, it never became a permanent option, but now that Warzone 2 is here, players are calling for the devs to think about including a night version of the map. Perhaps even a day and night cycle like the one seen in Fortnite.

Reddit user EMADALDEN221 put a post up in the Warzone subreddit that said “Warzone 2 at night?” along with an image of Al Mazrah in the dark.

This led to the community sharing their opinions about the possibility of a night version of Warzone 2’s map, with one comment suggesting that they would enjoy a “day and night cycle.”

Others agree, with one response that said, “this would be great because you’d have to plan your loadouts around suitable gear.” Further, another user adds that “Different weather effects would be good too,” so clearly there’s a demand for a more dynamic map in Warzone 2 with changing weather and time of day.

This wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen a day and night cycle in a battle royale, as one of the most popular examples is Fortnite.

Players can get a taste for Al Mazrah at night by playing the Modern Warfare 2 Spec Ops mission “Low Profile,” where you drop into the map and infiltrate Al Qatala forces who are set up in the POI.

With Warzone 2 Season 2 on the way, it’s clear we won’t be seeing a night version of Al Mazrah anytime soon, but perhaps Halloween 2023 will bring a similar mode to what we saw in the past with Verdansk at night.
