Warzone 2 could be set for a new Resurgence map as leaks claim another map is in development. Here’s what you need to know about the leaked Resurgence map in Warzone 2.

Warzone 2 Season 3 is finally up and running with the update rolling out on April 12. Despite the new weapons, movement changes, and added features, Warzone 2 players continue to voice their concerns over the state of the battle royale.

Given all of the changes that arrived in Season 3, including the return of one-shot kill Sniper Rifles, the devs seem to be using player feedback to improve the overall Warzone 2 experience.

One element of Warzone that has always excited players is the introduction of new maps. Small Resurgence maps in particular tend to create a ton of buzz amongst players, as they usually feature chaos and fast-paced action.

On April 12, a Twitter account called TaskForceLeak5 revealed that a new Warzone 2 Resurgence map is in development. The leak surfaced from game files found following the Season 3 update.

The leak reveals that a map previously codenamed Delta is now thought to be a new small battleground called Vondel. The game files also revealed that the Vondel map is set in the Netherlands.

At this point, there’s no telling what the leaked Vondel map could look like, but the Modern Warfare 2 campaign does take players to Amsterdam. Perhaps the devs will explore the area to a greater extent in the battle royale.

The Warzone 2 Season 3 update brought Resurgence to Al Mazrah and the devs could continue to emphasize the popular game mode with a new map moving forward.

Other than the references found in the Warzone 2 game files following the Season 3 update, there is no other information concerning Vondel at the moment.

Vondel should still be considered a leak until the devs reveal that the map is on the way. Keep in mind that things could change as the devs assess the best way to improve and update Warzone 2.

We currently don’t know when the map could arrive, but we’ll be sure to let you know as a release window comes to light.

This would be the third Warzone 2 map to arrive, following Al Mazrah and Ashika Island. It’ll be interesting to see the different gameplay elements that Vondel brings to the table, considering Warzone 2 debuted its Ashika Island Resurgence map back in Season 2.
