Some highly requested Call of Duty modes have reportedly been found in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2’s game files, teasing Plunder and another fan-favorite multiplayer mode for Season 2.

Both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 arrived with a variety of game modes, but players are always looking for more to keep things fresh. More game modes, maps, and weapons are set to arrive with Season 2 and leaks have given us some hints as to what could arrive.

Players expect Ronin to return as an Operator with the Crossbow and a new Shotgun thanks to leaks, and a new data mine appears to show two fan favorites that could arrive as well.

These leaked game mode icons appear to show both Cranked and Plunder for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 2, but of course, there’s no guarantee.

According to dataminer BKTOOR, two modes have appeared in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2’s game files. The first appears to show Cranked, with wrenches coming out of a cog.

Cranked is a classic Call of Duty mode that encourages players to be constantly moving. Here, getting kills grants faster movement, reload, and ADS speed, but you’ll have to get another kill before the timer runs out or you’ll blow up.

The second leaked game mode is up for debate. There are two symbols for the same mode, showing a dollar sign with both Solo and Quad squad sizes. There’s a high chance this references Plunder, Warzone 1’s more casual-focused mode where the goal would be to collect as much cash as possible.

But, the leaker theorized that it might not be Plunder because the red color scheme of the leaked symbol matches multiplayer and not Warzone 2, so it could well be a new multiplayer mode. Or, the red color scheme could just be a placeholder.

These are only leaks for now so far from any guarantee these modes will arrive. But the Season 2 update is set to arrive on February 1, so we expect to hear more about Infinity Ward’s plans toward the end of January.
