Warzone 2 fans furious with missing changes from “hoax” Season 2 Reloaded update
According to Warzone 2 players, certain changes included in the Season 2 Reloaded patch notes have yet to appear in the battle royale, leading players to call the update a “hoax.”
Warzone 2’s Season 2 Reloaded arrived on March 15, 2023, and it delivered a new weapon, a limited-time one-shot Sniper Rifle, and several changes, tweaks, and fixes to the battle royale.
The one-shot Sniper Rifle was a huge hit before it eventually disappeared, with players already hoping it will come back soon.
When it comes to the general changes and fixes that the devs looked to implement, players were initially excited by the prospect of the game’s quality improving. In particular, they had long since asked for improvements to the audio.
However, upon further review, it seems players have discovered that some of the changes detailed in the Season 2 Reloaded patch notes have either gone unnoticed or simply haven’t made their way to Warzone 2.
A post from the Warzone subreddit questions if the update was a “hoax” and goes on to list the changes that “didn’t make it into the game.”
The post heavily emphasizes the apparent lack of audio changes despite the dev’s focus on them in the patch notes.
In addition, the OP mentioned auto pick-up plates not functioning and an attachment that isn’t available in Warzone 2. One player in the comments was quick to add to the list of missing changes: “Update requires restart still requires me to manually click to restart.”
It seems that players are still frustrated with the current state of the audio quality and sound in Warzone 2. “They absolutely haven’t fixed the sound. I don’t even know if they made any changes but it’s worse than ever,” one exasperated player claimed.
Several players shared experiences following the Season 2 Reloaded update in which watching the kill cam revealed enemies sprinting toward them without hearing “a single footstep.”
A minor Warzone 2 update arrived on March 21, and while it delivered bug fixes, there was no mention of the missing changes featured above. If the devs do decide to investigate these issues, we’ll keep you up to date with the latest details.
