Warzone 2 expert reveals “broken” secondary that kills faster than Akimbo Pistols

Akimbo X13 Auto Pistols have been the go-to secondary in Warzone 2 in recent weeks, but CoD expert IceManIsaac has revealed a “broken” Pistol loadout that kills even faster.

Finding the best Warzone 2 loadout is essential if you want to claim victory, but finding the ideal combination of weapons can be tough. Since we first visited Al Mazrah back in 2022, the RPK and Fennec 45 combo has comfortably been the most popular.

However, those who didn’t want to waste a Perk to run Overkill opted for the Akimbo X13 Auto Pistols, thanks to how quickly they could eliminate enemies at close range. In fact, they became so popular that players called for them to be nerfed in the next update.

But according to Warzone 2 guru IceManIsaac, there’s a Basilisk build with a faster TTK than Akimbo X13s, which also comes with a lot of other benefits.

In his February 9 video, Isaac outlined a Snakeshot Basilisk loadout that he called “one of the most broken things” he’d ever seen, and it doesn’t even use the Akimbo attachment.

When comparing the stats, he found that the Magnum killed faster than the X13s up to around 6 meters, and matches them up to 8 meters. This means the Basilisk is the stronger option when comes to fights inside buildings.

“These Akimbo Pistols, they’ve got a lot of hip-fire spread. This Basilisk that I’m about to show you doesn’t have much spread at all, it’s pretty reliable,” the YouTuber explained. “It’s [stronger] than the actual, full-on 12-gauge Shotguns in the game.”

Later, he compared the movement speeds of both loadouts and found the Basilisk came on top once again, offering the player a much faster running speed and an “instantaneous” ADS speed.

IceManIsaac started his Basilisk loadout with the Revo-LSD 7mW laser, for improved hip-fire accuracy at close range. Then he added the Bryson HTA trigger action to speed up the fire rate, allowing players to land follow-up shots quickly.

Next up was the SO RO-99 Grip, which offers a major ADS speed buff and makes the Basilisk feel extremely snappy. He paired this with the S40 Rapid Loader, drastically cutting down how long it takes to reload, which is essential when taking on a full squad.

Finally, he equipped the all-important .500 Snakeshot ammo, transforming the Basilisk from a Pistol into a devastating Shotgun.

Isaac noted that the main reason he’s sharing this build now is that it’s so overpowered he hopes the devs nerf it in Warzone 2 Season 2. So, we recommend making the most of it now while you still can.
