Warzone 2 expert claims underrated Assault Rifle becomes “best AR” in Season 2 Reloaded

The Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded update brought another shift in the meta on Al Mazrah, and CoD guru Metaphor has picked out an underrated Assault Rifle that he thinks is the “best AR.”

Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded has arrived, bringing a host of changes to the battle royale sequel. These included quality-of-life updates like the introduction of Auto-Looting for Armor Plates, as well as the brand-new Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle.

It also brought plenty of buffs and nerfs to the existing lineup of weapons, as the KV Broadside finally got hit with a damage reduction. The category that saw the least balancing changes was Assault Rifles, leaving the likes of the ISO Hemlock and TAQ-56 as the most popular choices once again.

However, Warzone 2 expert Metaphor has claimed that the lesser-used Lachmann 556 is actually the best Assault Rifle in Season 2 Reloaded. Although the Lachmann 556 didn’t receive a buff in the mid-season patch, in his March 15 video the YouTuber explained that the AR felt “insane,” especially in Solo matches.

Since Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded went live, the Lachmann 556 has a pick rate of just 0.8% according to WZ Ranked, and there are seven other weapons from the same category that are more popular.

Despite being way down the pecking order, Metaphor urged players to give it a try if they’re looking to shake things up in Season 2 Reloaded. “I’m telling you right now man, this gun is good. I really do recommend running it, it’s pretty fun,” he explained.

Metaphor’s best Lachmann 556 loadout in Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded

Muzzle: RF Crown 50
Barrel: 15.9″ Lachmann Rapp Barrel
Underbarrel: Phase-3 Grip
Optic: Cronen Mini Pro
Ammunition: 5.56 High Velocity

Metaphor explained that since this Lachmann 556 loadout is built with Solos in mind, you can free up an extra attachment slot by sticking to the standard 30 Round Mags. He started with the RF Crown 50, improving the horizontal and verticle recoil to make the AR laser accurate at mid-to-long range.

Next, he goes with the 15.9″ Lachmann Rapp Barrel for improved damage range and bullet velocity, which is vital in the wide open deserts of Al Mazrah. He also added the Phase-3 Grip to make the weapon more stable and easier to handle.

Finally, Metaphor picked the Cronen Mini Pro for a clean optic that doesn’t block too much of the screen, and 5.56 High Velocity ammo to ensure each shot is landing exactly where you aim.

With this setup, the Lachmann Sub becomes an extremely accurate Assualt Rifle, while still retaining the impressive fire rate and damage it’s known for. Consider giving it a spin in you’re next Warzone 2 match.
