Warzone 2 players found a way to earn a ton of weapon XP through the Most Wanted Contract, so devs Raven Software have temporarily removed it from the game.

Warzone 2 has finally arrived, bringing all of Modern Warfare 2’s weapons and Operators to the brand-new Al Mazrah map. Like the original, Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah features Contracts around the map that allow players to complete objectives for cash and XP, helping to level weapons and buy their loadout weapons.

The high-risk, high-reward Most Wanted contract has returned with Warzone 2, where picking it up will mark your position for the whole lobby to see. But, if you survive the countdown, you’ll get Cash, XP, and the ability to redeploy one of your teammates for free.

However, some players found an exploit with the Most Wanted Contract that allowed them to level up their weapons incredibly fast. If you opened a Supply Box as soon as the Most Wanted Contract expired, it would somehow give you almost 14,000 bonus XP. By completing several Most Wanteds per match, players could fully level up their weapon in only one game.

Once dev team Raven Software, who are supporting Warzone 2, got wind of the glitch, they removed Most Wanted Contracts from the game to fix the exploit.

Raven Software tweeted on November 20 that “the ‘Most Wanted’ Contract has been disabled in Battle Royale while we investigate an issue.” They’ve added the problem to a card on their Trello board of known issues, but it’s still marked as “Investigating” with no word on when it could return.

Alongside this issue, Raven have listed that they are looking to bring the Play Again button back to Warzone 2 and fix the glitch where players are dying instantly when they should be getting downed.
