After the Warzone 2 Season 3 update, players noticed a “god mode” bug associated with redeploy protection, to which the devs responded by disabling the feature.

The Warzone 2 Season 3 update is finally here, as players are dropping into Al Mazrah and Ashika Island with the new weapons, movement changes, and various buffs and nerfs mentioned in the patch notes.

A new season is refreshing for players, especially as there’s a fresh Battle Pass to get through. Players will be grinding games to get as many kill and wins as possible. However, a new season often means new bugs and one game-breaking glitch prevented players from getting kills and achieving wins.

Popular Warzone 2 content creator Speros highlighted a “new god mode bug” in Warzone 2 Season 3 on Twitter, posting a video of them being a victim of the glitch.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a god mode glitch in Warzone, but this time it gave players “unlimited redeploy protection,” meaning they were effectively unkillable after dropping back into the map.

As you can see from the video, Speros is completely baffled by the god mode bug, as he is killed unfairly after landing more than enough shots on the enemy. Speros says “he has redeploy protection, he can’t die,” showing visible frustration as he puts his head in his hands.

Raven Software quickly responded by commenting on the post, as they said “we’re investigating this as we speak.” A little while after, the devs made an announcement confirming that “Spawn Protection has been temporarily disabled in Battle Royale.”

This was a fairly speedy response by Raven Software, and disabling the feature will temporarily prevent the god mode bug from happening.

However, the devs do want to bring the feature back, and they haven’t given a time frame on this, so it’s unclear how long players will be dropping into Battle Royale without spawn protection. As soon as we have more information on the matter, we’ll be sure to cover it on CharlieIntel so stay tuned.
