Warzone 2 audio trick makes controversial setting even more overpowered
Warzone 2 players can use a controversial audio setting to hear enemies clearly and you can make it even more overpowered.
Loudness Equalization has been a controversial topic in both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, and it turns out there’s a setting that makes it even more overpowered.
Loudness Equalization has caused much debate in the Call of Duty community since Modern Warfare 2‘s launch, where the PC-only setting ensures that enemy footsteps are even louder and clearer than they normally would be.
The setting has been an especially controversial talking point in the Call of Duty League, where it has been banned at in-person LAN events but with nothing stopping teams from using it in online qualifiers, accusations fly.
With there being a ton of complaints around Warzone 2‘s “broken” audio, many PC players are using Loudness Equalization to fix the issue, and YouTuber Metaphor has revealed how to make the setting even more overpowered.
After applying Loudness Equalization, Metaphor recommends players set the Release Time to Short in the settings. “Trust me, this will make it sound a lot better,” said the YouTuber.
After that, you should ensure your Warzone 2 audio mix is set to “PC” instead of the popular “Headphones Bass Boost” setting. With Master Volume set to 100, you should also reduce your Dialogue Volume as it’s not nearly as important.
“You’re going to love it if you play Solos,” explained Metaphor. While things can get “iffy” in hectic Quads matches, “in Solos, trust me this thing is abusable and you’re going to be dropping high kill games and you’re not going to get snuck up on nearly as much.”
Whether Activision will have further audio improvements or something to counter Loudness Equalization’s power in a future update remains to be seen, but the next major Warzone 2 update will be Season 2 Reloaded which brings the new Tempus Torrent Marksman Rifle.
