Warzone 2 players will no longer need to contend with AI on Ashika Island as the Season 2 Reloaded update removed AI enemies from the map.

Warzone 2 Season 2 allowed players to rediscover the Resurgence mode through the new Ashika Island map. The map immediately received praise from players who were desperate for a small map since the days of Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep.

While the map was well received by Warzone 2 players, one common gripe with Ashika Island consistently frustrated fans of the battle royale. Players claimed that Warzone 2’s annoying AI was ruining the Ashika Island map.

It seems the devs have been listening to community feedback as AI has been removed from Ashika Island following the Season 2 Reloaded update.

The Rusher in Warzone 2Ashika Island’s Rusher will not arrive with the Season 2 Reloaded update.

The Warzone 2 Season 2 Reloaded update patch notes confirmed the news of Ashika Island AI being removed. The patch notes read: “As the Path of the Ronin event comes to an end, the Shadow Company operatives that have occupied the island will depart in pursuit of their next mission.”

Players will no longer have to deal with AI combatants across the map, as “Players will now be public enemy number one for Search & Seizure Contracts and the Data Heist Public Event.”

It seems as though the Rusher will no longer arrive in Warzone 2’s Ashika Island following the change in direction.

Furthermore, the Search & Seizure contract and Data Heist will remain, but AI will be absent from the proceedings.

Players now have the chance to explore Ashika Island devoid of AI and considering the numerous complaints, they’ll surely view this as a welcome surprise.
