Following the release of the Vanguard and Warzone Season 4 roadmap, players got their first look at the new weapons arriving with the major update on June 22.

Excitement for Vanguard and Warzone Season 4 is starting to build after the Call of Duty team shared the official roadmap on June 16. The roadmap revealed a ton of new content coming to both Vanguard and Warzone including the USS Texas and Fortune’s Keep maps.

Of course, new weaponry was also on display and throughout Season 4, players will be able to acquire four brand-new weapons. Let’s take a look at the weapons that will make their way to Vanguard and Warzone in Season 4.

Vanguard and Warzone Season 4 roadmap

While some Vanguard players have not been pleased with the amount of new content coming to the game in Season 4, at the very least they’ll have four new weapons to discover.

Season 4 will bring a new LMG and SMG to the game via the Season 4 Battle Pass, while an Assault Rifle and Melee weapon are expected to be available later on.

UGM-8 LMG

Players will receive another LMG in Season 4 after Season 2 brought the Whitley to the game. The Whitley is notorious for being overpowered in Vanguard, which has caused players to be cautious about the new UGM-8 LMG.

The UGM-8 is designed to be lightweight which is a feature that differentiates the weapon from the rest of Vanguard’s LMG category, “Combining high mobility with a high fire rate, the UGM-8 is ideal for players looking to keep pace with their teammates.”

Marco 5 SMG

Yet another SMG will be introduced in Vanguard and Warzone Season 4. Post-launch Vanguard SMGs have simply dominated Warzone and another one is on the way.

The Marco 5 SMG will be an excellent option for aggressive run and gun players. Not only is the Marco 5 accurate from the hip, but it displays incredible stopping power from close-range. The tradeoff for the high damage output is considerable recoil and damage falloff at long range.

It will also be “the first SMG in Vanguard to feature the Akimbo Proficiency.”

Vargo S Assault Rifle

Season 4 will also introduce a new Assault Rifle to the weapon pool. The Vargo S is coming to Vanguard and Warzone, but it won’t be arriving with the June 22 update. Instead, it will arrive later in the season, likely with the Season 4 Reloaded update.

The Vargo S seems to be a variation of the Vargo 52 that only recently made its way to Warzone in Season 2. You can expect “a high-fire rate, steady aim through sustained fire, and a quick reload,” when using this Assault Rifle.

Push Dagger melee

A unique new Melee weapon is arriving in Season 4, but much like the Vargo S, it is only expected to arrive following the June 22 update. However, according to a Call of Duty blog, the Push Dagger should arrive before Season 4 Reloaded.

The Push Dagger is “built for speed and stealth,” and more than any other Melee weapon, it excels in close-quarters combat.

You can unlock the Push Dagger by:

  • Multiplayer – Getting 5 Melee Kills with a Primary Weapon in a Single Match 15 times.
  • Zombies – Getting 100 kills with a Melee weapon while shrouded by your Aether Shroud.
