How to unlock Battle Axe in Warzone & Cold War Season 6
At the start of Season 6, players in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone can unlock three new weapons for free, including the powerful Battle Axe.
The loot pools in CoD: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War don’t change too often. However, the developers of both games make sure to add new weapons periodically. This is especially true for the start of a new season.
The weapons added at the beginning of a season can be hit or miss. They can be meta-defining weapons like the EM2. Or they can be gimmicky like the akimbo Marshal shotguns.
Regardless, it’s always fun to play around with new weaponry, and Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Season 6 is adding the interesting Battle Axe. Here is how to unlock the Battle Axe in Warzone and Cold War.
How to unlock Battle Axe in Warzone and Cold War
Season 6 of Warzone and Cold War starts on October 7, and the Battle Axe will be available from the start. In fact, all three of the free new weapons will be available as soon as Season 6 starts. There will be two ways you can unlock the Battle Axe.
The first is by completing an in-game challenge. While the other two weapons are unlocked via Battle Pass tiers, the Battle Axe’s unlock criteria is linked to a specific challenge.
The challenge that unlocks the Battle Axe will be given to all players and unlocked in both Warzone and Cold War. You can find the exact challenges that players can complete to unlock the Battle Axe in Warzone and Cold War below:
- Warzone/ Multiplayer – Get a kill with a gun, melee weapon, and piece of lethal equipment in the same life in 15 different completed matches.
- Zombies – Using a primary Melee weapon, kill 10 Abominations
How to unlock Berserker Bundle Barbarian’s Axe blueprint
The second way players can unlock the Battle Axe in Warzone/Cold War is by purchasing the Berserker Bundle in the item shop for 1,000 COD Points. Like the Sai, the Battle Axe bundle unlocks the base weapon in the form of the Barbarian’s Axe weapon blueprint.
In addition to new weapons, players can look forward to new POIs in Warzone, an upcoming Halloween event, and new Zombies content in Cold War, shown in the Warzone and Cold War Season 6 roadmap.
